Who Inspires You?
Gabby Douglas: Gabby Douglas inspires me because she never gave up and that lead her to her goal of winning a gold medal in the Olympics. Growing up her family was very poor. Her siblings had to give up their sports so she could do gymnastics. She moved from Virginia to Iowa to get the best coach. She left her mom and siblings behind in another state. There were many times she just wanted to give up because she couldn't do a certain skill. Even though she thought about quitting, she never did. She kept fighting for her place in the Olympics.  When she got to the Olympics, she tried her best and won the all-around gold and the team gold. I am a gymnast and she has helped me not give up when I am learning new skills. She has also helped me believe in myself.

Mom: My mom inspires me to be a good person. She does so much for me and teaches me not to be selfish. Everyday she sends an inspirational note in my lunchbox. She takes time out of her day to find different sayings that she thinks will make me and my sister smile and think. They inspire me to make each day a good day. She has inspired me to be the best person I can be.

Abraham Lincoln: Abraham Lincoln inspires me because he stood up for what he believed. He became the President of the United States in 1861. He overcame many setbacks to become one of America's most influential presidents. In his Gettysburg Address, he inspired the nation to stop slavery. This has inspired me to stand up for what I believe and to not be afraid to share my opinion.

What Animal Would You Want To Be?
If I could be any animal, I would be a monkey who lives in the rainforest of Madagascar. Monkeys get to swing on branches through a beautiful forest. I am a gymnast and I like to swing on the bars. They get to use their hands and feet just like us. They have the freedom to do as they please and don't have rules to follow. That sounds pretty fun to me. There are so many different types of monkeys and they live all over the world.
